Something I really appreciate about fashion film - or film in general- is that concept or idea comes first, it has to be fully worked out for the film to succeed ( mostly ). This is conducive with how I like to work and allows me to not doubt my method and instead just focus on the task.

Die Dominanz von Gemeinschaftsgefühl, Humanität und Loyalität, die sich auf der Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1914-1917 unter Polarforscher Sir Ernest Shackleton und seiner Mannschaft manifestiert, überstrahlt diese Polarexpedition und macht sie trotz ihres heroischen Scheiterns im anarktischen Packeis einzigartig.
Im Vordergrund der Expedition steht der Mannschaftsgedanke und das Überleben im Kollektiv. Auf der Expedition der Gegenwart verlieren sich die Werte, die diese Polarexpedition Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts vermittelt: Eine narzistische Spaltungsgesellschaft hat sich entwickelt, und eine zunehmende Isolierung auf nationaler, religiöser, ethnischer und politischer Ebene findet statt.
In der Kollektion begegnet der Kollektivgedanke der Polarexpedition der Polarisierung der gegenwärtigen Gesellschaft.
